Welbeck headed home to restore Arsenal's lead

Despite Arsenal going into the game as heavy favourites, it turned into a thriller in the capital.

Shane Long opened the scoring early on, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled out his strike. Welbeck put Arsenal ahead shortly afterwards with the aid of a deflection, but substitute Charlie Austin's poacher's goal looked like it would deny Arsenal the win.

Step forward Welbeck.

With less than 10 minutes to go Alex Iwobi did well down the left to hold off his man and swing in a cross and Welbeck rose above his man at the far post to head past Alex McCarthy and into the back of the net and hand Arsenal the win.
