The 'red devils' will play five games in the USA as part of their pre-season preparations before games against Valerenga in Oslo and Sampdoria in Ireland, all in the space of a little over two weeks.
However, England international Jones was only looking at the positives. He told United's club website that "the more matches you play, the more match-fit you are and seven games will give everyone a chance to get minutes under their belts. You need everyone at a good level for the start of the new season."
He went onto praise Joe Mourinho, saying that the manager's attention to detail will mean the trip is planned to perfection, "He'll have organised this pre-season exactly how he wants it - when we'll train, when we'll rest and when we'll have commercial work to do. I'm sure it'll be a great tour and I'm looking forward to it.
