City and United are both looking for a player to strengthen their options at the back and who can cover two positions, and they have both checked on Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet.
The France Under-21 international joined the Spanish outfit in January and has impressed since, playing at centre-back or on the left and showing a great ability to read the game.
Lenglet's composure fits the profile the Manchester clubs require and has also earned him attention from the Camp Nou. Arsenal and Liverpool, tha latter watching him closely in their Champions League exchanges, also asked about the player who left Nantes for just £4.4 million.
Plenty of suitors for the young Frenchman whose contract at Sevilla runs until 2021, but has a buyout fee set at a more than affordable £28 million.
