Iniesta's name has been in the papers with regularity in recent weeks, with reports continuing to link him with a move to the Chinese Super League at the end of the season and his latest comments will have turned heads once again.
"I don't think I'm keeping Spain on tenterhooks," he explained regarding his potential deprture from the Camp Nou. "It's a time that sooner or later has to arrive, I haven't announced anything yet, I'm just enjoying things day to day and thinking about what I need to think about.
"There are still a few weeks for me to make a decision. It's one of the most important decisions of my career. It makes me doubt everything and nothing all at the same time. I'm at the club of my dreams," he declared.
Meanwhile, Iniesta revealed what would be one of the key factors in his decision to stay with Barca or not, saying: "I think it will be very difficult to not be a starter for Barca in the next two years if I avoid injuries.
"It won't be a question of whether I love the club or not, it will be a question of feeling what I have to do. If I leave it will be becuase I cannot give 100% as a player and as a person to my club."
On the other hand, Iniesta revealed that this summer's World Cup in Russia could prove to be his last appearance for 'La Roja': "At the moment it is poosible that the World Cup will be the last time I represent my country, I don't want to be there just to make up the numbers."
Finally, the veteran midfield metronome revealed that claiming the title of world's best this summer would be a dream end to his international career. "I hope that my Spain farewell will be how we all dream it in the final. We hope that my last game will be the World Cup final," he concluded.
