Terry keeps up influence in Chelsea dressing room with Willian gift

John Terry may have departed from Chelsea in the summer, but it seems the former captain hasn't forgotten about his old team-mates at all.

The former England captain sent a personalised gift to old team-mate and "great friend" Willian in the form of a shirt with a heartfelt message.

Terry praised Willian for his on and off-the-field conduct, writing:

"To Willian, you are an unbelievable player and a great friend. It's been a pleasure to watch you train and play for Chelsea.

"I feel lucky to have had you in our team and lucky I didn't have to play against you. Top player. JT"

Willian was clearly in gratitude for the gesture, replying to Terry on Instagram.

"John, thank you very much for this gift and for the beautiful message. It has been a great pleasure to be a team-mate of one of the greatest defenders in the world and, above all, an example of a professional football player

"In those 4 years that we've been working together I've learned a lot from you and it's a real pride to be able to say that I played with you. All the happiness in the world in your career and in your life, my friend!"

The pair won two Premier League titles together as well as a League Cup trophy since Willian joined Chelsea in 2013.
