Ryan Sessegnon is taking the Championship by storm. The Fulham winger is just 17 years old, but has already risen to the top of the league, scoring 14 goals in 39 games for the club.
The Englishman recently picked up a staggering five trophies at the English Football League awards, including Championship Player of the Season, and Young Player of the Year award. Furthermore, he is the only non-Premier League player to be nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award.
All of this has unsurprisingly led to rumours linking the 17-year-old with various Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United. We will see whether these offers materialise into a move when summer comes around, however ex-Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson believes there is one manager that must bring him in this summer, and that is Gareth Southgate.
The England boss has options such as Raheem Sterling and Jesse Lingard who can play in similar positions to the Fulham man, but pundit Lawrenson believes Sessegnon is the 'future', and should be brought along to the Russia World Cup in order to gain experience.
"If I was Gareth Southgate, I would take him to the World Cup," Lawrenson stated. "He's the future."
"You don't have to play him necessarily, but I'd take him purely for the experience. He's that good. What a player he's going to be, it's frightening."
