It was reported on Tuesday that Stoke were close to finalising their £15m move for the Galatasaray midfielder and that appears to be the case as Ndiaye has reportedly passed his medical, which took place that day.
The only issue remaining now is obtaining a UK work permit in time to push the deal through before the 11pm deadline.
According to the 'Daily Mail', to secure this the Senegal internatioal must leave England, as he is currently on a temporary visa, and then re-enter the country to confirm his status as a Premier League player.
It is now a race against time with the 27-year-old allegedly trying to get to Manchester Airport as quickly as possible to fly to Paris, and then catch the next flight back to England to watch Stoke play Watford on Wednesday evening at the Bet365 Stadium.
However, should the deal go through, it would make Ndiaye the second-most-expensive player at the club after they forked out £18m on Gianni Imbula two years ago.
