Disciplinary proceedings were opened against Nasri after the Spanish agency for anti-doping (Aepsad) saw a tweet in 2016 from a clinic in Los Angeles, 'Drip Doctors'.
The tweet stated that they had provided Nasri with "intravenous treatment to keep him in top health". At the time Nasri was at Sevilla on loan from Manchester City.
These practices are outlawed by WADA unless the dosages are strictly limited (under 50 millilitres every six hours), or if the player has a certificate, but UEFA has so far not agreed to any ruling on Therapeutic Use Exceptions, rejecting Sevilla's appeal for one last year.
The ban is likely to be made public on Monday, but there is some consolation for Nasri as he has escaped a ban for any longer amount of time, something which at his age could have been career-ending.
