The aforementioned source report that the player hailed as the 'new Di Maria' at Benfica, has already agreed that, from next year, he will be plying his trade in the youth ranks at Manchester United. The Red Devils will supposedly shell out 6 million euros for the 16-year-old.
The attacker, who can play on the right or down the middle, has been showing glimpses of a future superstar for a number of years. His performances in important games are particularly impressive, which is one of the reasons Mourinho insisted that the United board make a move for Embalo.
So far in 2017, the teenager as played for Benfica in the Portugal Youth League, as well as the UEFA Youth League, where he has scored one goal and provided ones assist in just 65 minutes, split between three matches. He also took part in the qualification for the U17 European Championships with Portugal, nothing two goals in six games.
Having said that, nothing has been confirmed yet for the Benfica starlet, so his future is still up in the air. His agent, when asked about the possible agreement with United, was keen to distance himself from the rumours, although he stopped short of denying them.
"We're the same as what we did with Bruma. We want to keep Embalo away from the media storm and speculation so that he can concentrate on his football and his studies."
With both Manchester United and Real Madrid circling for the 16-year-old, it's likely he'll have a bright future ahead of him.
