Shakespeare, after being part of the coaching staff for seven of the last eight seasons, was appointed as interim manager after dismissal of Claudio Ranieri. In his time in charge he has led the Foxes to victories over Liverpool and Hull City.
The club's Vice Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha expressed his delight: “Craig’s skills as a coach and the high regard in which he is held by everyone the Club were well known to us. We always knew the team would be in good hands when we asked him to take charge a fortnight ago".
Shakespeare joined Leicester coaching staff in 2008, and has lived the Foxes' rise into Europe's elite. He is a trusted member of the club, and he will have until the end of the season to prove his worth .
