The 17-year-old will join the Spanish giants at some point in the future in a pre-arranged deal and it's a prospect he is understandably looking forward to, telling the social media audience: "I'm leaving the best club in Brazil to go to the biggest in the world".
However, when asked when he was arriving at the Bernabeu, Vinicius couldn't answer: "I don't know. Those who are in charge will tell me. I will only give the 'ok'. I don't participate in the decision".
The youngster did reveal a bit about how the move happened, admitting that it was both Casemiro and Marcelo who encouraged him to sign for 'Los Blancos'.
"They helped me a lot in choosing. They told me that I would be at the best team in the world".
At Madrid they are convinced that they have made the right decision. Vinicius is happy at Flamengo at the moment and appears to be developing on track, which they hope will ease his transition when he does eventually make the step onto football's biggest stage.
