Fourteen-club man Warnock called on to save struggling Rotherham

Warnock arrived at the New York Stadium on Thursday with Rotherham languishing three points from safety in the relegation zone after eight defeats in their last 12 league matches.

The 67-year-old was hired following the departure of Neil Redfearn, who was sacked on Monday after just four months in charge.

Warnock, who played for Rotherham between 1969 and 1971, has 16 games of the season left to keep his former club in the second tier.

Warnock had recently worked as an advisor at fellow Championship outfit QPR and was placed in temporary charge between the departure of Chris Ramsey and the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Rotherham are the 14th different club of Warnock's 36-year managerial career, which also includes spells at Leeds, Huddersfield and Sheffield United.
