Emery made the announcement during his press-conference in the lead up to PSG's upcoming clash with Guingamp, after heavy speculation that the club would axe him in summer.
He revealed that he had told the players that this would be his last season as boss, however he will remain in charge for the last few games of the season.
"I have told the players, (sporting director) Antero [Henrique] and the President that it is finished," he stated. "I thank everybody. All that remains is the Coupe de France final."
PSG have won the Ligue 1 title this year, as well as the French league cup, however their failure to make it to past the Champions League round-of-16 is what has doomed Emery, due to the heavy investment undertaken in the hope of European glory.
It is not yet known who will replace Emery, however Thomas Tuchel has been heavily linked with the job.
