'Spurs' are due to play Manchester United at Wembley for the FA Cup semi-finals on April 21, which has been Tottenham's home for the 2017-2018 season so far.
After a rough start, Mauricio Pochettino's side have gone on to win 11 out of 13 games in all competitions at the stadium. The issue then arises as to whether the stadium is a sufficiently 'neutral' venue at which to stage the semi-finals.
Tottenham defender, Eric Dier believes 'home-advantage' would be negated by the equal divide of fans: ''The FA Cup is a completely different competition, a one-off game and the fans are split down the middle, the atmosphere will be different to a league game. The fact we played our home games there this season you would think would be a benefit for us but it is the FA Cup semi-final so it will be hard no matter what.''
Dier has also said that the different surroundings were in part responsible for Tottenham's disappointing campaign opening: ''If you think about it, if you move house, then for a couple of weeks it feels different. If anyone moves anywhere, a different country or city or anything, it takes time to adjust to your new surroundings.''
''Wembley was no different [for Tottenham]. After that period where we didn't feel completely at home there it got a lot better for us.''
