Playmaker Coutinho completed his long-awaited move to Barcelona earlier this week, meaning that plenty of column inches have been dominated by the 25-year-old in recent days and now Richarlison, who shares the same agent as his fellow Samba star, has spoken to 'Sky Sports' about his compatriot, saying that he is worth every penny of the big-money fee paid for him and that he is "the future of Brazil".
"I didn't know about the offer before it went public," Richarlison said. "I consider the offer to reflect the value of the player.
"I think he's a great character and a great player. He is the future of Brazil.
"He is also known as 'the little magician'. He is incredible and I wish him all the best at Barcelona."
Meanwhile, the Watford man also credited Coutinho as one of the people who helped him settle in to life in England, allowing him to make an impressive start to his Premier LEague career following his summer move from Fluminense.
"I've brought friends over from Brazil. Here I've befriended people like Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Jesus," he explained.
"We all socialise and go out together and they have been very helpful."
