Thibaut Courtois has rocked Chelsea with the news that he could reject a new Blues deal even if the London outfit agree to double his £100,000-a-week wages.
The 24-year-old has just 18 months on his current deal and extension talks have hit a wall due to personal issues, which could see the Belgium international relocate to the Spanish capital.
Both of Courtois' children, son Nicolas and daughter Adriana, live with his former partner Marta Dominguez in Madrid, which has forced the keeper to reconsider his future at Stamford Bridge.
"Everybody knows that due to my personal situation, Spain attracts me," he told 'La Sexta'. "If it is not now, it will be in some years. I’m calm," said Courtois, who is a reported target for Real Madrid as well as former club Atletico.
"I’m happy at Chelsea. I just want to wait [over contract talks] because now there are many games and I prefer to have my head focused on that."
