The man that the 'Clarets' have identified is Sheffield Wednesday's 26-year-old English centre-back Tom Lees. The former Leeds man is rated at around £5m by his club though according to the 'Daily Mail', there is also interest from Middlesbrough, Derby County, Huddersfield Town, Sunderland and Hull City.
Lees played 38 times for Carlos Carvalhal's side last season, captaining the side on 15 occasions and is seen by Sean Dyche as the ideal man to fill the void created by Keane's departure.
Dyche and Burnley have been successful in recent years buying top-end Championship players, with the likes of Tom Heaton, Andre Gray, Stephen Ward and Johann Berg Gudmundsson all joining the club from Championship sides.
