Despite the Welshman's poor injury record and the Atletico striker's lack of form, Jose Mourinho is not putting off making a move for the La Liga pair, who are both long-term targets at Old Trafford.
As reported by 'The Sun', United have reopened talks with representatives of both clubs meeting during the international break to discuss terms. Both Real and Atletico could consider sanctioning the transfers, with Bale and Griezmann far from popular figures among their respective supporters.
The Welshman has missed 40 per cent of Real's games through injury since joining in September 2013 and Griezmann came close to a summer switch to Old Trafford before the deal fell through due to a last-ditch change of heart from the Frenchman.
Griezmann has told his teammates he regrets snubbing a move to United and now appears ready to force through a move to the Premier League. If Bale shows any indication of wanting a move back to England, the Red Devils will not hesitate before swooping in for the winger.
Mourinho has already spent £300 million in 18 months at Old Trafford and he may have to splash out even more. Griezmann's release clause is set at £86 million and Real Madrid will likely ask for a similar fee for Bale.
