After winning the Ballon d'Or, Cristiano Ronaldo has rounded off an unbeatable year on an individual level.
The Real Madrid star has been named the winner of the 'The Best' awards which has taken place in Zurich, Switzerland.
The Portuguese forward has beaten Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann - the two other finalists - to the award.
The coveted award was voted on by national team captains, national team coaches, representatives from the press and fans.
From a list of 23 stars, Ronaldo, Messi and Griezmann came out as the three finalists. Ronaldo won the Ballon d'Or back in December and has now been given another individual award.
The world of football has accepted defeat to the Portugal star as the best player in the world currently. After winning the Ballon d'Or, Ronaldo has scooped the first edition of the prize that was born after FIFA and 'France Football' split over the Ballon d'Or award.
Ronaldo has enjoyed a brilliant year on an individual level, although these prizes have been largely down to trophies won with Real Madrid and Portugal: the Champions League, Euro 2016, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
According to Ronaldo himself, 2016 has been the best year of his career.
