The goalless draw made if four staight away top-flight clean sheets for Paul Clement's side, a club-record. Whilst Tottenham's indifferent form at Wembley continues.
The visitors didn’t look intimidated early on but the hosts quickly took control of the game.
Dele Alli fired a volley wide from the edge of the box with the first real effort of the game.
Spurs’ only real issues came through their own lack of concentration. Jordan Ayew looked to take advantage of a poor clearance from Lloris but his first-time volley landed nearer the corner flag than the unguarded net.
The in-form Harry Kane saw a long-range free kick shoveled away by Fabianski down to his left before Son called the Pole into a sharp stop at his near post after being player in by Sissoko.
Spurs were in complete control of the game, without ever really looking like breaking down the visitors in the first half.
Son fired over after a nice Spurs move before Eric Dier fired a free kick wide.
Dier had to be alert again minutes later as Swansea countered. The lively Abraham got the better of Sanchez down the left and pulled the ball back to Carroll but as he looked to strike Dier tracked back and the England international’s challenge took the sting out of the effort, allowing Lloris to gather.
Federico Fernandez looked dominant in the air for the away side, twice heading away dangerous looking crosses with Son and Kane lurking on his blind side.
The Spaniard wasn’t so sure with his feet and almost found his own net after 37 minutes as he hacked Son’s cross over his own crossbar.
Truth be told, that was the closest Mauricio Pochettino’s side came to scoring in the first half.
The visitors on the other hand could have taken the lead just before half-time, Kieran Trippier saw a low effort bobble wide before Swansea created the game’s first real chance.
A corner from the right was met by an unmarked Mike van der Hoorn six yards out but he could only head over the bar.
By this point Jan Vertonghen was growing frustrated, if his 25-yard effort on the stroke of half-time was anything to go by, but with Fabianski easily gathering his effort, the two sides went into the break level.
The second half started as the first finished, with Spurs on top but unable to create anything of note. Mauricio Pochettino made a tactical tweak at half-time, moving Trippier to left wing-back, Sissoko to right wing-back and moving Son more central.
Eriksen tested Fabianski from range but the Pole was equal to the effort.
Alderweireld wanted a penalty when he was impeded by Olsson down the left but Mike Dean was not impressed. The same could be said five minutes later when Trippier’s cross from the left struck Olsson on the arm.
Spurs should have gone in front just before the hour mark, Alderweireld put Son in with a cute through ball down the right but the Korean was denied by Fabianski.
The ball was recycled by Sissoko who pulled it back to Kane, who crashed an effort off the bar from eight yards.
Kane was denied again after 65 minutes when his header from a Christian Eriksen corner was palmed away by Fabianski.
Spurs turned to former Swansea man Fernando Llorente in their search for a breakthrough, but even the ‘Lion King’ couldn’t break the deadlock.
The introduction of Wilfried Bony gave the visitors more of a platform to play off up front, but they rarely looked like stealing the victory. Sam Clucas volleyed wide when Lloris’ punched clearance dropped to him.
Spurs could have nicked a winner late on but Lady luck was not on their side. Harry Kane saw a low effort from the edge of the box drop just the wrong side of the post.
Trippier then saw a sweetly-hit volley fly just wide from the edge of the box before substitute Serge Aurier could only prod wide after latching on to Fernando Llorente's knock-down as the game finished goalless.
Credit goes to Swansea for the way they defended, with Federic Fernandez performing excellently at the heart of their defence.
The Swans look much improved from the side that narrowly beat the drop last season.
The result sees Swansea move into 15th, whilst Spurs drop to fifth.
Swansea face Watford in the Premier League next up, whilst Tottenham play West Ham in a London derby.
