Mourinho and Guardiola in the £500m derby

All eyes will be on the derby which will take place in Houston and will mark the inauguration of another Premier League season which will start at the beginning of August.

Two huge sides will lock horns for the first time on foreign soil at a critical point of the transfer season. Nobody has spent more than Mourinho and Guardiola since they arrived in the Premier League.

The Red Devils spent £32m on Bailly, £36m on Mkhitaryan, £89m on Pogba, as well as splashing out £30m on Lindelof and £72m on Lukaku. They were even on the verge of paying £80 million for Griezmann. In total, £259 million spent by United since Mourinho landed in Old Trafford.

But City are no different, and Guardiola's investment on twelve players reaches £277 million. The most expensive to date is John Stones at £47 million, followed by £43m Kyle Walker. £42.5m was the amount spent on Leroy Sane last year, and Bernardo Silva this summer.
