The declaration comes as something of a bold claim given the form of the likes of Harry Kane, Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku.
Interestingly, none of the aforementioned player are considered world class by Henry, with the Arsenal legend instead saying that Manchester City's Sergio Aguero is the league's only top striker.
'The only one who is world class, or has been world class, is Aguero because of the longevity of what he has done in this league, year in and year out,' Henry told 'Sky Sports'.
'He won the league here and he has been doing it the longest. You have to give him a bit of credit. I think sometimes we bypass Aguero like he didn't happen.'
Despite Lukaku recording the best start to a season by any striker in United's history and Kane having beaten Aguero to the Golden Boot for the last two seasons in a row, Henry doesn't feel the pair have proved themselves enough on the world stage to be considered world class.
'Lukaku has just arrived at Manchester United, he hasn't played long in the Champions League,' explained the former Arsenal and Barcelona man. 'For Harry Kane, last season was short in the Champions League. It was short in the Europa League and the Euros.
Chelsea's Alvaro Morata wasn't imune to criticism either, despite his hat-trick at the weekend, with Henry saying: 'Morata was often off the bench at Madrid. He had a good year at Juve but he was playing with Llorente or Tevez. They will get there and we should be happy to have these players in our league.'
