A simple change of agent can say a lot. At least, that's what reports are suggesting, as the 'Daily Mail' claim that Dele Alli is in talks with Jorge Mendes' agency, Gestifute, in a move which may well start a domino effect which could end in the England international moving to Madrid.
Currently, the 21-year-old is contracted to Impact Sports Management, with a deal which expires midway through 2018, just when the summer transfer window opens and rumours of his future will start to circulate.
Real Madrid are one of the clubs interested in signing one of the hottest prospects in English football from Tottenham. Despite his age, Alli has already showed he is more than prepared to play at the top level, demonstrated by his goal against Los Blancos in their recent Champions League clash.
If the Tottenham star were to join up with Jorge Mendes, it may well be an important step as Madrid try to secure his services. As well as representing Cristiano Ronaldo, it is well known that Mendes has a very good relationship with the powers that be at the current European champions.
The aforementioned source also say that Alli is not happy with his current wage at Tottenham, and that could be a big factor in him wanting to leave, although Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is renowned to be difficult to negotiate with, so any potential deal for the midfielder is unlikely to come easy.
